“One Two” at Warrenville Historical society

I have been invited to participate in “Warrenville Inspired”: The Warrenville Historical Society is excited to announce its upcoming exhibition Warrenville Inspired. The Historical Society is welcoming a group of artists to find inspiration amongst their historical collection and create an original piece to be displayed alongside the history and artifacts that moved them. This inventive exhibit will open on Friday, March 16th and run through Sunday, April 22nd. An artist reception will take place on Sunday, March 18th from 1-5pm, open and free to the general public. I am creating “One Two” for the exhibition:

The Methodist Church is gone, but its body remains in the walls of the Albright building. The organ no longer emanates sound, but remains a symbol to the building’s origins.  In the video, she plays once more, a Methodist hymn in silence, accompanied by the only rhythmic instrument remaining in the old church – the one two beat of the ceiling fan.
