"The Date", single channel video, 5 min, 2006

Relationships, and not just human-to-human bonds intrigue me. "The Date" was inspired by dialogue in the movie “Frankie and Johnny”, where Frankie says, “if I’d wanted a boyfriend I wouldn’t have bought a VCR”. In “The Date”, TV is the Saturday night date. This particular date is comforting, safe, passionate, and more assertive than the woman watching.
